In the
new economy, we realize that customers are increasingly demanding the
flexibility that best serves their unique business requirements. We
provide the option of selecting a combination of business models /engagement
models/operational models to suit your various business needs.
These are:
• Fixed Time/ Fixed Price
• Time and Materials
• Dedicated Offshore development centers
• BOT Model
• BOT Extension to DDC model
Fixed Time/ Fixed Price
Our fixed time, fixed price model offers customers a low-risk
option and can be employed when the scope and specifications of the
project are reasonably clear. This model guarantees on-time, on-budget
delivery of projects. Deliverables, Costs and Timelines are clearly
defined in the Fixed Time/Fixed Price model. In fixed time, fixed-price
engagements, Ambrosia follows a phased approach that includes scoping,
development, implementation and business support. Combining the fixed
time, fixed price model with our solutions center, we can offer customers
a tremendous advantage on the cost front.
Time and Materials
In this business model, Ambrosia forms project teams with the required
team members, project managers, equipment and infrastructure based
on project requirements. Customers pay a monthly charge based on the
size and composition of the team. This model offers the flexibility
to balance team size and project workloads. Most of our onsite services
(unless it is part of a fixed time, fixed price project) are delivered
using this business model. Ambrosia could bid for partial phases of
a project on a fixed time, fixed price basis and the remaining parts
on a time and material basis. In such engagements, the Client has
complete flexibility in using our associates in tasks that match their
area of expertise. Ambrosia provides knowledgeable, skilled, motivated,
energetic and competent consultants who work seamlessly as part of
client teams to provide quality solutions. Our consultants are handpicked
after assessing their technical, communication and interpersonal skills.
We keep our consultants on the cutting edge of information technology
by providing them with ongoing advanced training and skill-building
workshops.
Dedicated Offshore development centers
Ambrosia Offshore Development Centers are essentially a dedicated
pool of specialized engineering and programming resources that acts
as virtual extensions of your own development teams. Constituted with
high-quality resources possessing functional and required technical
competencies, offshore centers provide a scalable and cost-effective
solution to your IT needs, delivering powerful business benefits.
Ambrosia has dedicated offshore development centers in
• Mumbai
• Hyderabad
BOT model
Ambrosia's Build-Operate-Transfer model enables customers to rapidly
start offshore operations and later transfer the offshore development
center as their own subsidiary. Ambrosia provides the following value
during each phase of the process: Build: Setup the facility and infrastructure,
staff the development center, and establish knowledge transfer. Operate:
Manage the offshore organization: Program Management, Development,
QA, maintenance, enhancements, and product support. Transfer: Register
a new offshore subsidiary for the customer, transfer assets, and handover
operations. Clients can realize following benefits by working with
BOT model: * Risk Reduction * Flexibility * Process Expertise * Option
of owning the facility * Faster Time to Market * Lower Establishment
Costs .
BOT Extension to DDC model
Considering some clients’s specific needs, Ambrosia also offers
option of converting ODC model engagement into BOT model after two
years or mutually agreed of completion of Ambrosia DDC engagement
duration without any additional transfer fees. In case of need to
early (less than two years or an agreed upon period of time) DDC transfer
to client, Ambrosia does charge predefined transfer fees to client.
It is normally calculated on basis of revenue earned from Client till
date eg. 10 % of projected lost revenue.
2 Delivery Models
Onsite Delivery Model
AMBROSIA will provide highly-qualified, personable consultants to
work in concert with client team members, at the client's physical
location. Onsite consultants can be directed and/or monitored by client
managers.
When is Onsite the right model?
• the assignment is repetitive and/or open-ended
• there are fluid requirements
• the project is short-term or small scale
• the project is highly confidential or proprietary
• the client wants a high degree of control of the development
process
• infrastructure requirements dictate at least partial onsite
delivery
Advantages of Onsite Delivery Model
• Best model for high responsiveness to change
• Best model for effective communication
• Best model for coordination of client and AMBROSIA resources
• Consultants' understanding of client's business environment
and processes greatly facilitated.
• Effective, responsive feedback permits more stable deliverables
sooner.
• Best time-to-market possible.
• The additional costs and/or additional facilities required
may act as a limiting factor for choosing the onsite delivery model.
The selection of a delivery model can be a complex one. Choosing
the correct model can make the difference between a highly successful,
cost-effective implementation and a potentially large waste of resources.
Helping you make this decision effectively is a value-adding consultative
service we provide and to which we are well suited.

of the various models.
Offsite Delivery Model
AMBROSIA will provide highly-qualified consultants and the location
and infrastructure to support their activities. Consultants can work
remotely in concert with client team members, or largely independently
on particular project or phase. The work location is in the geographic
vicinity of the client's facilities.
When is Offsite the right model?
• there are fluid requirements
• the project is not stand-alone/integration considerations
are moderately complex
• the client wants significant participation in the development
process
• client site infrastructure or space limitations dictate offsite
delivery
Advantages of offsite delivery model:
• Highly responsive to change
• Effective communication and understanding
• Effective coordination of client and AMBROSIA resources
• The selection of a delivery model can be a complex one. Choosing
the correct model can make the difference between a highly successful,
cost-effective implementation and a potentially large waste of resources.

Hybrid Global Sourcing and Delivery Model
Hybrid Delivery Models
Each of the options, Onsite, Offsite and Offshore, offers different
merits and fit different scenarios. In many cases, IT project plans
can be optimized by utilizing AMBROSIA resources in a combination
of delivery models.
Placing the right AMBROSIA project and relationship managers, team-leads,
and technical resources at the right locations provides the client
the desired combination of control, delivery time, internal resource
utilization, access to infrastructure, and favorable cost.
When is Hybrid delivery the right model?
• the project is long-term or large scale and complex
• large portions of the project can be defined with precise,
stable requirements
• the project is a software development outsourcing project
Advantages of Hybrid delivery Model
• Combine benefits of onsite, offsite and offshore models
• Effective communication and responsiveness
• Best application of internal and external resources based
on cost and competency
• Facilitated understanding of client's business environment
and processes.
• Increased affordability from favorable labor costs abroad
• Minimized infrastructure or facility expense
• Access to the optimally tailored resources including technologies
and skill sets
• 24/7 Productivity
The selection of a delivery model can be a complex one. It can include
issues such as establishing new communications infrastructure, managing
cultural interfacing, and non-traditional risks. Choosing the correct
model can make the difference between a highly successful, cost-effective
implementation and a potentially large waste of resources. Helping
you make this decision effectively is a value-adding consultative
